Every dish at Tweet is crafted by Head Chef Angelique Iraguha, a pioneer of modern Rwandan cuisine. She brings Rwanda's farms and lakes straight to your plate — bold flavours rooted in tradition, reimagined with a global perspective.
Angelique co-authored Uruhimbi: Rwanda's Gastronomy and Culinary Arts (2024), a landmark book celebrating the depth and creativity of Rwandan food culture. At The Nest, you're not just eating well — you're tasting her life's work.

Everything here is rooted in Rwanda – its crafts, its colours, its stories.
Our rooms are luxurious yet thoughtful, with high-end imported fabrics chosen to suit each room. All of our woodwork, from doors to furniture, is handmade from native hardwoods by a talented network of Rwandan artisans. Our light shades are woven by cooperatives, and volcano stone quarried from the North of the country. Native, bird-friendly plants fill the property.
Designed by Matt Deely, artistic director of the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony, our entrance sets the tone for everything that follows – ambitious, considered, and unmistakably Rwandan.
Paul Mugisha, based in Musanze, is our artist-in-residence. His striking portraits hang throughout The Nest, celebrating Rwandan identity and creating a gallery experience woven into every stay.
