Specialty Coffee at The Nest

Rwanda produces some of the world's finest single-origin coffee — and now you can taste it without leaving The Nest. Our baristas serve specialty Rwandan beans, brewed fresh every morning and all day long at Tweet.

Why Rwandan Coffee?

Rwanda's high-altitude growing regions, rich volcanic soil, and meticulous washing stations produce beans with bright acidity, citrus notes, and a silky body that rivals anything coming out of Ethiopia or Colombia. The country's coffee revolution has put it firmly on the specialty map — and we're proud to serve it at its source.

What We Serve

Our coffee menu features single-origin Rwandan beans from select cooperatives, roasted locally to bring out the best of each harvest. Whether you prefer a clean pour-over, a velvety flat white, or a bold double espresso, our baristas dial it in fresh every day.

  • Single-origin pour-over — brewed to order
  • Espresso, flat white, cappuccino, latte
  • Cold brew — smooth, low-acid, perfect for Kigali's sunny afternoons
  • Rwandan coffee flight — taste three distinct regional profiles side by side

Coffee Culture at Tweet

At Tweet, coffee isn't an afterthought — it's part of the experience. Settle into the courtyard with a flat white and the morning paper, take a mid-afternoon espresso break between meetings, or cap off dinner with a coffee cocktail from our bar.

We also offer coffee as part of our curated experiences — ask us about visits to nearby washing stations and roasteries to see Rwanda's coffee journey from cherry to cup.

For the Coffee Curious

Not sure what you like? Our team loves talking coffee. Tell them what you normally drink and they'll recommend something new. No judgement, no pretension — just great beans, well brewed, in a beautiful setting.

FAQ

What coffee beans do you use?+
We serve single-origin Rwandan specialty beans from select cooperatives, roasted locally in Kigali. The specific origin rotates with each harvest to showcase different regions.
Can I buy coffee beans to take home?+
Yes — ask at the bar and we'll point you to our favourite local roasters where you can pick up freshly roasted beans to take home.
Do you offer plant-based milk?+
Yes, we offer oat and soy milk alternatives for all our coffee drinks.
Can I visit a coffee farm or washing station?+
Absolutely. We can arrange visits to nearby coffee farms and washing stations as part of our experiences programme. Ask our team to set it up during your stay.
